Breakfast Power Bowl
This breakfast power bowl tastes like banana bread met a cozy bowl of oatmeal, and it fits perfectly into my Mediterranean Diet way of eating with a Portfolio Diet twist. Translation: all the goodness of Mediterranean eating, plus powerhouse foods like flax, soy, and plant sterols that give your body an extra cholesterol lowering nudge.

Flax may be tiny, but it's loaded with fiber and a special type of plant based omega-3 called ALA. ALA (alpha linolenic acid) is an essential fat your body can't make on its own. It helps calm inflammation, supports heart health, and is linked to a lower risk of cardiovascular disease.
This simple Breakfast Power Bowl alone packs about 7 grams of fiber, nearly a quarter of what most women need in a day. Fiber doesn't just "keep things moving." It can help support healthy cholesterol levels, balance blood sugar, and make breakfast more satisfying.
And here's the kicker: this bowl doesn't just taste cozy, it's doing serious work for your body too:
❤️ 7 grams of fiber to keep you full, steady, and support cholesterol health
🌱 Plant based omega 3s from flax, one of the best sources of ALA (alpha linolenic acid), which supports heart health
🥜 Walnuts and flax for a cholesterol lowering combo straight out of the Portfolio Diet playbook
🌿 100 percent plant based, fitting both Mediterranean and vegan eating
This Mediterranean Diet breakfast is quick, cozy, and laughably easy. Sometimes I even prep it the night before so it's ready to microwave while I sip my coffee. Breakfast at my house usually comes down to one question: Team Power Bowl or Team Mediterranean Diet Smoothie? Either way, my heart (and taste buds) are happy.
Enjoy!
