Enjoy delicious summer flavors all year with this fresh, healthy mango jalapeno salsa 🥭🌶-sweet, spicy & perfect for tacos 🌮, bowls 🍚 & snacking.
Oh Mango Jalapeno Salsa, How I love Thee
Seriously. I can't get enough of this salsa. Piled on salmon tacos 🐟🌮, scooped over black bean tacos 🫘🌮, with my favorite baked tortilla chips. And yes, straight from the bowl. It's just that good.
This salsa is also a Mediterranean Diet win. If you're just getting started check out this Mediterranean Diet Beginner's Guide to learn what to eat and find quick and easy recipes.
We first discovered mango jalapeno salsa at Costco and got hooked fast. The problem? It has more added sugar than you'd expect. Mango is naturally so sweet that it really doesn't need the extra! That's what inspired me to create this fresher, healthier version. It's bright, flavorful, and works beautifully with both fresh and frozen mango ❄️.
And here's my favorite shortcut: presliced mango from Aldi or Costco 🛒. Less chopping, faster prep, and salsa happiness in minutes.
🌞 Think of mango as a nutritional powerhouse. Or, a special ray of sunshine in your diet.
💪 A vitamin and mineral boost
One cup of mango offers an impressive nutritional punch: about 67% of your daily vitamin C, 20% of copper, 10% of vitamins A and E, and solid amounts of folate, magnesium, potassium, vitamin B6, and vitamin K.
🦠 Better gut vibes
Mango delivers both soluble and insoluble fiber, which not only supports healthy digestion but also helps feed your friendly gut microbes.
❤️ Cholesterol whisperer
The soluble fiber in mango may help lower total cholesterol and LDL (that sneaky "bad" kind), especially when it's part of an overall healthy eating pattern.🛡️ Cell shield with antioxidant flair
Mango is rich in mangiferin, a powerful antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage linked to cancer risk in tissues like the colon, breast, skin, and brain.
Enjoy!

Top Tip
If using frozen mango, let it fully defrost and drain off any liquid before chopping.
FAQ
It depends on the jalapeno 🌶. For a milder salsa, remove the seeds before dicing and only use ¼ cup of the diced jalapeno. To take the heat up, add the seeds and use a whole cup of diced jalapeno.
It's amazing with fish tacos 🐟🌮, grain bowls 🍚, grilled chicken 🍗, or as a dip with whole wheat tortilla chips 🥙. I can't wait to hear what other ideas you have!
I'm all about shortcuts and keeping ingredients on hand in the pantry! But canned isn't going to work in this recipe--stick with fresh.
